No smart, no lighting. Today, smart lighting has become a hot topic in the whole industry and the ...
Smart lighting is not a new development area. In recent years, the concentration of the smart lighting market has gradually increased, and smart lighting products on the market have been overwhelmed. In 2019, the Internet of Things technology is more mature, and 5G is officially commercialized, and the field of intelligent lighting has ushered in another wave of development. For example, LEDinside has mentioned the smart light poles in the `` Four Major Explosive Fields in the Lighting Industry and Related Policies & Standards 2019 ''. Since last year, related construction work such as smart street lights has been in full swing ... , LEDinside wants to talk about the indoor application of smart lighting-smart home lighting.
Multiple lighting brands connect to e-commerce platforms, cross-border integration trend is more prominent
With the increase of consumers' requirements for home lighting and the advent of the era of intelligent Internet of voice interaction, manufacturers have gradually evolved from functional products to people-centered service. The complete smart home lighting solution is the result of multiparty cooperation. The entire industrial chain covers many different links, such as lighting products, communication protocols, control systems, Internet of Things platforms and sales channels. Therefore, cross-border integration of different industries has also become the development trend of smart home lighting.
At the beginning of the development of smart home lighting, some manufacturers in the lighting industry have already begun cross-border cooperation. For example, OPPLE Lighting reached a strategic partnership with Huawei (Huawei Smart Choice), Baidu and other smart homes. In 2016, Xin Nuofei and Xiaomi established a joint venture to produce smart lamps and sell them through Xiaomi retail channels. In 2017 and 2018, Sunshine lighting reached cooperation with Jingdong and Ali artificial intelligence in the field of smart home lighting respectively.
According to incomplete statistics from LEDinside, four major lighting manufacturers announced their cooperation with e-commerce platforms in 2019.
In September, NVC Lighting, Foshan Lighting and Sunshine Lighting all signed strategic cooperation agreements with Tmall Elves. Tmall Genie will work with various lighting brands around the smart home IoT scene to conduct comprehensive cooperation in terms of technology, products, sales, operations, marketing and other aspects, jointly develop smart products that meet market trends and user needs, and create interconnected, mutually beneficial Intelligent networking ecology. According to the strategic agreement, in the next three years, the three major lighting brands will each realize 10 million smart devices connected to Tmall Genie.
In October, Xin Nuofei announced a strategic cooperation with Tmall. Xin Nuofei will use its accumulated product and technology advantages in the field of smart home, combined with Tmall's huge user base and extensive online sales channels.
Currently, Philips Smart Home Lighting, a subsidiary of Xin Nuofei, has connected with Tmall artificial intelligence “Tmall Genie”. In the future, it will continue to combine other IoT technologies of Tmall Genie to strengthen the interconnection between smart home devices and create new smart applications Scenes.
It is also worth noting that in July 2019, the "SIG MESH Smart Home Lighting White Paper", which was written by Alibaba Artificial Intelligence Lab and OPPLE Lighting was provided by more than 60 companies, was released for the smart home lighting industry. With the factual standards, it will better promote the further development of intelligent lighting and the interconnection between various enterprises.
It is reported that the they aims to achieve uniform lighting near-end control standards and access standards for the Internet of Things platform in the lighting industry; and unified docking standards with major Internet of Things platforms, and strive to achieve one product and one set of software can access multiple sig mesh Platform to reduce the difficulty of intelligent control applications and manufacturers' investment costs in R & D, sales, logistics and other links.
Related lighting companies have stepped up their investment efforts. Is the smart home lighting market still far off?
At present, the home lighting market has not ushered in a large-scale explosion period, but with the promotion of the Internet of Things technology and 5G technology and the introduction of related standards, more and more enterprises have increased their investment and layout in the field of smart home lighting.
In 2019, LEDinside interviewed two lighting companies, Sanfeng Lighting and Xiangtian Lighting, as well as Bangqi Smart, a representative manufacturer of smart lighting controllers.
Both Sanfeng Lighting and Xiangtian Lighting believe that the current smart home lighting market is still in the early stages of development, but both companies have seen great potential in this market and have begun to increase investment. Among them, Sanfeng Lighting has expanded its existing product line and added intelligent products. At the same time, the company also regularly holds internal training training classes for the Sanfeng Lighting Business School to learn the production of lighting design solutions, allowing dealers to transform from past lamp sellers into terminal technology service providers, improve lighting professional capabilities and skill levels, and thus enhance the market competitiveness.
In addition, the lighting manufacturer Sanxiong Aurora also publicly stated last year that it would increase investment in the field of home lighting. At present, Sanxiong Aurora's home lighting volume is relatively small. In the future, the company will vigorously expand the home lighting market in order to obtain a higher market share.
In terms of smart lighting technology, Bunge Smart said that smart lighting control communication technology has begun to change from wired to wireless. Philips smart home products are based on Zigbee solutions. At present, many emerging smart home companies also tend to adopt Zigbee solutions. However, after the release of the Bluetooth Mesh in 2018, more and more companies are considering using Bluetooth or a combination of Bluetooth and Wifi. Bunge's existing solutions are Zigbee and Wifi. With the release of Bluetooth 5.0 and Bluetooth Mesh, the company will also consider developing wireless intelligent products based on Bluetooth communication.
When it comes to Bluetooth Mesh, it is worth mentioning that Ledvance. The company's smart lighting product SLYVANIA SMART + Lighting Portfolio is equipped with Bluetooth Mesh, and will focus on developing smart lighting products equipped with Bluetooth Mesh in the future.
