A: yes, the baby sound machine is compatible with Amazon Alex & Google Assistant, after you connect it to related devices, we use voice control it's color, brightness, etc. 

A： Yes. This lamp doesn't require any hub or zigbee. It directly connects to your wifi. After connected the lamp to their App, you can add this smart light to whether Echo or Google Home easily. It's in my opinion much better than HUE for the reason of no hub and ease of setup and use. Hope this helps!
